Middle Years
Today Banksy is one of the most famous artists on the graffiti street art scene. Banksy has many well known pieces all around the world. He has pieces in America, Australia, Canada, England, France, Israel, Jamaica, and Palestine. Banksy creates many pieces for today's celebrities. His first international exhibition was held at L.A.'s 33? gallery in 2002. This exhibit was entitled Existencilism. This was followed by another exhibit called Turf Wars in London. In 2005 Banksy got to the big time in a big way. He traveled to Palestine and used his stencils to create nine pictures on the Bethlehem Wall. His most famous pieces are Keep it Spotless, Mobile Lovers, Spy Booth, White House Pub Rat, Waiting in Vain…, Flower Thrower, Slave Labourer, and Queen Jubilee. Banksy created many works although some people do not approve of the message.

Not only did the place where he grew up inspire him, but the famous graffiti artist Blek le Rat inspired him too. Banksy took this and put a traffic cone and shopping cart in the water to represent the pollution in the world these days. He usually adds something funny to them to catch people’s attention and show off his unique personality Banksy, not only a painter, graffiti artist and political activist, but he also made a documentary called Exit Through the Gift Shop. Banksy was inspired by many people to create his very unique art.
